Today I woke rather early...around 3:45. Around 8:30 I had breakfast and we left around 9:30 to go to orientation. We were dropped off at Museum Road that was extremely short (about 500 feet). Jake and I thought we were supposed to meet people there so we went down a little walk way thinking it was part of the road but had no access to cars. Well we ended up giving ourselves our very own tour of Oxford. We walked around for quite a bit thinking we were dropped off the wrong spot. We were supposed to be at Lincoln College and made our way.....to the wrong Lincoln college. The guy at the front desk gave us a map to the newer campus. On the way there we saw our teacher, Suki Fisher, walking towards us and she showed us where we were supposed to be....which was right next to where we dropped off on Museum road. After Orientation we went for a walk which was pretty much right where Jake and I had walked earlier. After that we went out on our own and grabbed lunch. Cassidy, Caitlin, and I went to go shop for towels that the girls had forgotten at a store that was like a cross between Target and Macy's. Then we went ran back into Jake and decided to head home but since it was so early we could take our time....and we did. We accidentally found the Museum of Natural History, which was pretty cool. I saw dinosaur bones for the first time and a stuffed dodo bird. Then we started to walk home and thought we could take a shortcut that might make the walk shorter but that ended up getting us lost and we had to ask quite a few different people how to get back. When we finally got back we had dinner and went out to the pub. I finally got home and went to bed at 1245....yea it was yet another long day.

Had a great sleep. We walked into Oxford again and went into a beautiful church called St. Mary's The Virgin. It was extremely pretty with really cool architecture. We saw grave markers of people from the early 1900s and all the way back to the 1600s. A placard said that a church had been on that site for over a 1000 years. We walked into town central and climbed up into Carfax Tower. Climbing up was really cool but a bit of a challenge. The spirals did not leave too much headspace for me so I had to duck all the way up. When we got to a stone portion of the climb it seemed as if we were going up into a castle turret;
the walls and steps were stone and it was a little dark. The view from the top was really cool. We (Cassidy, Caitlin and I) could see the entire town and the various colleges. Below are some pictures of the church then of the top of Carfax.
Sorry I just realized the pictures are out of order. So we grabbed some sandwhiches for lunch and headed off towards Christ Church College (where we were having a tour). As we were leaving the restaurant it started hailing so it made our walk interesting. It is getting late here and I have to get up early tomorrow so I will post about my trip to Hogwarts tomorrow
