End of 3/23-3/24

So yesterday I felt like I went to Hogwarts. I guess they filmed Harry Potter all over Oxford. Where Harry and his friends head up the stairs to go to the dining hall is in Oxford's Christ Church College. They are leading up to the eating area the I inspired the dining hall in the films. Also where Harry's dad's trophy is/was we went by there and also were outside of the building where they filmed the hospital scenes of the movies. I have pictures....wait hang on... Never mind. I can upload pictures tomorrow night. But we visited man sites from the movies and had a walking tour of Oxford and Christ Church College.  Then we went to have tea time at the Old Bank Hotel. They had finger sandwiches, tea, little brownie....things, scones, and Madeline cookies. After that we headed home to do homework.

Today was the first day of class. It was my Shakespeare class which was way more fun than I actually thought. We acted scenes out, rewrote scenes, and watched Shakespeare in Love (which almost put me to sleep but there were other factors as to why I was tired ...like getting lunch in the middle of class before the movie at a pub). Then I went to Blackwell's bookstore which has a ginormous basement (easily twice the size of my house) and two or three levels above that. It was really really big. Then walked around grabbed dinner, met some friends at a pub, then went to Homestay orientation. After the meeting a large group of us went to one of my favorite pubs so far. It's called Tuft Tavern. You walk under the bridge of sighs down an alleyway and follow the alleyway to the pub. It is just tall enough for me to stand up (but the beams I have to duck for). Multiple figures have been here like Oscar Wilde, Thomas Hardy, Ben Kingsley, Bill Clinton. We sat outside and enjoyed each other's company and for the first time I took the bus home. The bus was a double decker bus so we had to sit on top! Sorry this post is from my phone so I can't upload pictures but I will include pictures from today and yesterday in tomorrow post
